Job Description:
The Interim Director of Buildings Maintenance and Grounds will oversee the maintenance and operations of all facilities and grounds within the specified location. This role requires a proactive leader who can efficiently manage resources ensure safety compliance and maintain high standards of facility appearance and functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies for buildings and grounds.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of facilities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Coordinate and manage contractors and vendors for outsourced services.
- Monitor and manage budget allocations for maintenance and grounds projects.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure optimal conditions of facilities.
- Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainability practices.
- Respond to emergency maintenance issues promptly and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in facilities management maintenance and grounds operations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations.
- Ability to manage budgets and allocate resources efficiently.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with project management software.
- Knowledge of HVAC electrical and plumbing systems.
- Certification in facilities management or related field is a plus.
