Your Team Responsibilities
The Workday Payroll Consultant will partner closely with HR Payroll Operations Finance and HR Technology teams to provide technical expertise across the Workday Payroll platform. This role involves collaborating with system analysts and project managers to design configure and support payroll solutions that align with business requirements regulatory obligations and enterprise technology standards while enhancing system reliability and employee experience.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain Workday Payroll system to ensure seamless payroll processing across the organization.
- Analyze payroll data to identify trends propose improvements and implement necessary adjustments in partnership with HR and finance departments.
- Ensure compliance with all government regulations including tax and labor legislation and stay current with payroll-related legal updates.
- Provide expert guidance and support to internal teams and employees on payroll processes policies and inquiries.
- Participate in payroll audits and assist in resolving discrepancies by performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Lead training sessions for HR staff and end-users on payroll system functionalities updates and best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of payroll operations.

- Extensive experience in Workday Payroll configuration and implementation with proven results in optimizing payroll operations. Strong understanding of Canadian payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail ensuring accuracy in payroll processing.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex payroll concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in project management including leading initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting utilizing Workday tools to generate insights and drive improvements.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and building relationships within the organization.
