@Orchard is actively supporting a proposal expected to be awarded in Fall 2026 for a Virginia client in the Intelligence Sector. We are seeking individuals with the necessary skills experience and clearance to sign a letter of intent to join the team once the program is awarded. As a Project Engineer you will.
- Serve as program support to the government Program Manager (PM) with responsibility for technical knowledge of the assigned teams and programs/projects.
- Providetechnical guidance and recommendations related to the integration of National Systems-based capabilities.
- Assist the PM/COTR in program management planning cost schedule and performance monitoring and reporting; program synchronization; generating requests for information responses; and cross-program coordination.
- Support the PM in multiple areas which include systems mission and enterprise engineering; program management; acquisition support; analytic support; technical analysis; user requirement management/development; architecture; and customer outreach and support.
- Other responsibilities include administrative and technical support to the Government leadership team internal cross-coordination external mission partners and other DoD/IC customers.
Your background will include.
- US Citizen with an Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
- Bachelors OR Masters degree in a Business or STEM discipline.
- As there are several roles available experience ranges start at 2 years of experience in project management and acquisition with emphasis on government acquisition within DoD or IC settings.
- Familiarity with project management monitoring developer cost schedule and performance as well as program office processes techniques and documentation.
- Able to travel 10% of the time.
Preferred additional capabilities.
- Familiarity with the NROs and DoDs national and tactical space architectures.
- Familiarity with different contracting types e.g. competition sole source IDIQ/TOs Other Transactions and Broad Agency Announcements.
- Working knowledge of SAFe Agile or similar agile processes and JIRA and Confluence tools.
- Certified in one or more of the following: INCOSE (or DAWIA equivalent) Agile and Project Management.
- Familiarity with project management; monitoring developer cost schedule and performance; and program office processes techniques and documentation.
- Ability to problem solve in a rapidly changing environment and interface with the customer daily.
- The ability to track and respond to office tasking build and present program briefings and update project schedules and calendars.
Compensation: As there are several potential levels for this skillset within the program compensation can range between $82500 and $170500. All employees will receive a generous benefits package: Health Dental Vision 401K with immediate vesting tuition reimbursement and generous PTO.
