About the Role:

  • The Manager Initiative & Change Management (ICM) is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of assigned projects within ICMfrom initial concept through delivery of business results. This includes developing Program Charters Project Charters and Project Plans that define scope schedule budget tasks milestones and deliverables. The role works closely with Business Sponsors Business Leads core project resources and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure projects are effectively planned coordinated executed and governed.
  • As a key member of the ICM team the Manager ensures alignment across initiatives identifies interdependencies and supports project governance and consistent reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project management activities across assigned initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Business Leads Business Sponsors and Executive Sponsors to develop project charters establish scope manage risks track lessons learned and coordinate implementation.
  • Develop detailed project plansincluding master schedulesand coordinate project resources to ensure tasks and deliverables are met on time.
  • Utilize the fit-for-purpose ICM stage-gating methodology applying approved tools templates and best practices.
  • Prepare business cases and conduct current- and future-state analyses including understanding system implementation impacts.
  • Ensure project governance processes are followed including biweekly and monthly reporting on performance progress and risks.
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts including harmonizing duplicated processes identifying gaps and recommending opportunities for automation.
  • Evaluate process interdependencies across programs and support streamlined integrated solutions.
  • Partner with assigned Business Analysts and perform peer reviews to ensure QA/QC of deliverables.
  • Coordinate with team peers to ensure consistency across projects manage interdependencies and support shared goals.
  • Ensure project change impacts are assessed accurately and that change management plans are developed and executed.
  • Support the ICM Manager and Supervisor by acting interchangeably as a Project Manager or Business Analyst for special or ad hoc projects.
  • Balance and manage a complex workload across multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Acts as Business Partners with:

  • GTM Training Management resources to ensure training needs are assessed and appropriate training documentation meets the needs and is successfully delivered to the business
  • GTM TIS Management resources to ensure system enhancements and/or system implementations are delivered timely and are in accordance with business requirements Act as a cross functional Project Manager to support multiple areas of the business such as asset management pipeline integrity facility integrity work management compliance etc.

Scope/Dimensions:

  • Accountable for the successful delivery of ICM projects that may affect large portions of the organization and enhance safety efficiency and operational performance.
  • Responsible for providing strategic innovative solutions to Gas Transmission and Midstream Operations (GTMO).
  • Expected to challenge conventional approaches explore new solutions and drive meaningful value across GTMO.

Contacts (Working Relationships):

  • Work closely with Business Leads Sponsors and Executive Sponsors to develop charters monitor scope manage risks and coordinate project delivery.
  • Provide support and decision recommendations to peers and senior staff across the organization.
  • Engage daily with multiple departments to maintain project momentum and ensure stakeholder inputs are incorporated.
  • Prepare communications and presentations for senior leadership audiences.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

Required:

  • University degree or equivalent experience.
  • PMP certification Six Sigma (preferred) or 710 years of relevant oil and gas industry experience.
  • Experience supporting Field Operations within oil and gas.
  • Strong business process optimization background.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex strategic projects.
  • Ability to develop collaborative working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Broad technical understanding with the ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical critical thinking and project leadership skills.
  • Ability to lead without direct authority and negotiate effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong facilitation and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word PowerPoint Excel Project SharePoint).
  • Experience using MS Visio and other project management tools.
  • Ability to participate in both business and IT discussions with a strong understanding of technology-enabled solutions.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft 365 tools including Teams Visio and MS Project.

Preferred:

  • PMP or PBA certification
  • Six Sigma certification
  • Change Management certification (e.g. Prosci)
  • Internal audit experience

Working Conditions:

  • Work may be performed remotely or in the office.
  • Minimal travel unless assigned to a special project requiring field visits.
  • Occasional overtime may be required.
  • Role requires the ability to sit for extended periods and intermittently stand or walk.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Must manage multiple competing priorities while influencing stakeholders across and outside the organization.
