Summary of role:
The Project Manager will lead the delivery of applicationfocused projects across the organisation including new application implementations upgrades integrations and enhancements. This role ensures projects are delivered within scope budget and timelines while aligning closely with business requirements and technical architecture standards. The ideal candidate has strong experience managing software development teams application lifecycle activities and crossfunctional delivery in Agile or hybrid environments.
Responsibilities:
- Manage endtoend project delivery for application development enhancements and system integration initiatives.
- Define project scope schedules resource plans and budgets.
- Drive execution and monitor project performance risks and issues to ensure successful delivery.
- Ensure alignment to architecture security and IT governance frameworks.
- Oversee application development configuration testing and deployment activities.
- Manage projects involving system upgrades application enhancements workflow changes and custom development.
- Coordinate with developers architects business analysts and QA teams.
- Ensure application solutions meet performance usability and scalability requirements.
- Engage business stakeholders to clarify requirements and manage expectations.
- Facilitate workshops sprint reviews and steering committee meetings.
- Manage relationships with software vendors implementation partners and service providers.
- Maintain detailed project documentation including project plans RAID logs and status reports.
- Ensure compliance with organisational PMO standards and change control processes.
- Provide regular progress updates to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Oversee UAT planning test execution support and defect resolution.
- Coordinate release management deployment readiness and postimplementation reviews.
- Support user training adoption and change management activities.
Requirements
- Matric and a Tertiary Qualification
- 10 years experience as a Project Manager delivering applicationrelated projects.
- Strong understanding of application development lifecycle (SDLC) software engineering and testing processes.
- Experience leading crossfunctional technical teams.
- Knowledge of system integration APIs and data flows.
- Proficiency in Agile Waterfall or hybrid project delivery.
- Strong budgeting forecasting and project governance skills.
- Experience with enterprise applications (ERP CRM HR systems custom apps).
- Exposure to DevOps practices CI/CD pipelines and modern development tooling.
- Project management certification (PMP Prince2 Agile Scrum Master).
