JOB SUMMARY
The Molecular and Cell Biology Department is seeking to fill a 12-month Laboratory Assistant (UCP 1) position. The successful candidate will provide support for undergraduate teaching laboratories in the Department and assist faculty in the care use and maintenance of animals plants chemicals and/or reagents used in research and/or teaching.

Other rights terms and conditions of employment are contained in the collective bargaining agreement between the University of Connecticut and the University of Connecticut Professional Employees Association (UCPEA). This position requires the incumbent to lift 40lbs perform repetitive tasks and be able to stand for an extensive amount of time while performing these tasks.
The estimated start date is March 6th 2026 and the expected work hours would be Monday Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm including one hour for incumbent may be expected to work flexible hours depending on lab course schedules.
