Job Summary
- Home-Start in Suffolk
- Address: Hybrid working between West Suffolk House Bury St Edmunds Suffolk IP33 3YU and working from home including Group work and some home visits across the county
- Salary: 26000 per annum (pro rata) Actual 16126 per annum
- Hours: Part Time 23 hours per week 3 days per week (including Friday and one evening)
- Contract: Permanent

As the successful candidate you will join our SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) team as a SEND Family Support Navigator.
In this role you will be providing personalised support for parent/carers through a blend of face to face virtual and group work enabling them to feel more confident and empowered to manage the issues they face.
The role reflects the Home-Start approach bringing together trusting relationships strengths-based practice and skilled volunteer involvement.
Your responsibilities
Provide personalised support for parent/carers through a blend of face to face virtual and group work enabling them to feel more confident and empowered to manage the issues they face.
- Support families to understand assessment and education pathways.
- Offer clear information signposting and warm handover to partner organisations when required.
- Provide supervision reflective support and safe practice guidance for volunteers.
- To keep up to date with relevant SEND policies and practices.
What you will need
- Experience as a professional supporting families of children with SEND or neurodevelopmental needs.
- Strong understanding of neurodevelopmental conditions and their impact on family life.
- Ability to work within a multi-agency environment.
