The Pastoral Support Officer will support students emotional wellbeing behaviour and attendance.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting students with behavioural or emotional needs
Working closely with Heads of Year
Monitoring behaviour and intervention plans
Supporting reintegration meetings
Liaising with parents
Recording pastoral concerns accurately
Supporting attendance improvement strategies
Assisting with safeguarding referrals
Coordinating mentoring support
Supporting restorative practices
This role requires patience resilience and strong relationship-building skills.
Experience in pastoral or student support roles
Strong communication skills
Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly
Understanding of safeguarding
Organised and reliable
Positive and supportive approach
