What is the Ooks Life Team
Every year NAITSA hires a team of student leaders to help plan and promote events and initiatives for their fellow NAIT students. The Ooks Life Team (OLT) works together to create memorable experiences and a strong sense of campus community.
Being part of OLT means youll grow your skills meet new people and make a real impact on campus (all while getting paid to do it!)
There are several positions on the Ooks Life Teamranging from Clubs Events and Clubs Finance to Promotions Volunteer and Events Coordinators. Each has unique responsibilities but everyone collaborates to bring campus life to the next level.

Position Summary
As a Campus Clubs Events Coordinator youll be the go-to person for club leaders who need peer-to-peer support with planning and hosting their events. Youll help clubs bring their ideas to life while ensuring everything runs smoothlyfrom event submissions on to on-campus socials and large-scale club programs.
This role also supports operations at the Clubs Front Desk fosters strong relationships between NAITSA and student clubs and assists with services such as equipment management and club training.
What Youll Do
The Campus Clubs Events Coordinator helps make club life at NAIT run seamlessly. This role focuses on two main areas:
Club Leader Support:
- Provide peer-to-peer guidance (in person or virtually) to help club leaders with event submissions room bookings equipment reservations ticketing and risk assessments
- Support club connection by helping clubs navigate planning and execution of events like Club at the Pub
- Assist clubs during their events and help with tools like the Event Check-In App and Square payment system
Clubs Events Support and Administration:
- Gather and organize club event data to help inform reports and planning goals
- Help facilitate workshops for club leaders on event planning and coordination
- Assist with department-wide initiatives including Leadership Flagship events Club Showcases and the Elevation Series
- Participate in OLT meetings and cross-team projects
- Positing on the Ooks Life App during event-based lead or support shifts
- Provide coverage at the Campus Clubs front desk (shifts occur between 8:00am 4:00pm Monday to Friday so we are looking for students with availability during these times)
- Offer additional support for other OLT committees and initiatives as needed
Hours of Work & Employment Term
- Part-time temporary position starting May 2026 and ending April 30 2027
- Hours vary month to month (limited in summer; busiest during the academic year)
- Primarily on campus with occasional off-campus or remote work as needed
- Preference for candidates with weekday (Monday to Friday) availability for shifts of at least 3-hours during office hours
Qualifications
- Enrolled NAIT student for the entire 202627 year
- Must be available for shifts during peak periods including NAIT Student Orientation Pancake Breakfast and Nest Fest
- Great communicator both written and verbal
- Reliable punctual and organized
- Demonstrated time management skills; meets deadlines
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs
- Access to a computer with a camera and mic for meetings or remote work
