VA Camp Admin Assistant

What Youll Do

As Camp Admin Assistant youll assist withoffice tasks during the day and the care and supervision of campers in the evening. This includes helping to maintain a positive clean and safe environment for all.

Essential Job Functions:

• Participate in staff orientation meetings and all required training.
• Support camper and staff checkâin/out processes.
• Manage phone calls and administrative tasks using standard office software.
• Assist with photography and social media coverage of camp activities.
• Provide transportation for staff and campers as needed including airport runs appointments and supply pickups.
• Support and participate in cabin and camper duties including assisting with campers activities and helping to maintain clean and organized cabins and camp facilities.
• Respect and protect personal property and camp equipment.
• Enforce safety regulations and emergency procedures.
• Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

What Were Looking For

To join our team you should be friendly detail-oriented capable of multitasking and able to work independently when needed. We also require the following:

• You must be at least 18 years or older
• High school diploma or GED required
• Have a valid Virginia drivers license and clean driving record
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions including indoor and outdoor environments
• Previous experience in managing front desk operations administrative or office support is a plus but not required
• Be able to commit to this role from May 15th to August 9th
• The ability and willingness to work 12 consecutive days.

Essential physical requirements:

• Must be able to speak audibly write legibly and perform repetitive motions such as typing.
• Must possess the visual acuity to develop written correspondence and determine accuracy neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
• Must be able to bend and lift 50lb. to assist in the safe transfer of individual campers between two locations.
• The physical ability to assist in transferring campers in and out of wheelchairs push wheelchairs and to assist in other activities of daily living.
• Must be able to tolerate extended periods of time outdoors and factors such as heat unpredictable weather and proximity to various wildlife.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle to perform essential functions of the job.
