General Surgeon / Specialist Surgeon Tropical Coastal Queensland Total Remuneration up to $528000 We are seeking a General Surgeon or Specialist Surgeon to join a collaborative well-supported team in one of Queenslands most desirable coastal regions.

The Role You will join a Level 2 354-bed hospital delivering comprehensive public sector surgical services to a regional population of approximately 180000 plus a significant volume of domestic and international visitors.
This position offers:
- Total remuneration up to $528000
- 5 weeks annual leave per annum
- 17.5% annual leave loading (4 weeks)
- 3.6 weeks professional development leave per annum
- Overtime on-call and recall allowances (paid per occurrence)
You will contribute to both emergency and elective services and play an active role in education and service development within the department.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Capacity to meet roster and on-call requirements
This is a hands-on role in a service that sees a wide variety of pathology offering both clinical depth and ongoing professional growth.
There are strong academic links with universities including formal appointments for PHOs and Registrars as Associate Lecturers providing opportunities to contribute to teaching and training.
