Job Summary

About the role:

Were strengthening our organisations capability to learn improve and scale what works. As the Knowledge & Insights Lead you will design and deliver frameworks reviews and tools that embed effective knowledge management and support continuous improvement - enabling better service decisions and uplifting our enterprise-wide knowledge practices.

Note - This is a 12-month fixed term contract opportunity.

In this role you will generate meaningful knowledge and lessons insightsthat illuminate key enterprise-level risks issues and opportunities helping Sydney Water make informed evidence-based decisions that support our strategic outcomes.

You will also work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business to champion a culture of knowledge sharing continuous improvement lessons management and learningensuring insights translate into action and lasting organisational capability.

What youll do (Key Outcomes & Responsibilities)

  • Develop insights and recommendations by undertaking data sourcing data preparation analysis design and visualisation to support continuous improvement lessons learned and evidence-based decision making.
  • Source manipulateand draw meaningful insights from disparate datasets.
  • Creative problem solving todefine and deliver innovative solutions to business problems.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their key priorities and translate into data-driven approaches.
  • Support the development of functional business requirements in user stories and epics acceptance criteria and document improved processes..
  • Utilise analytical skills to identify areas for improvement and document pain points.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to drive continuous improvement knowledge sharing and lessons management.

What youll bring (Skills & Experience)

Essential

  • Framework design & delivery:Proven experience designing and rolling out enterprise-aligned frameworks (knowledge management and knowledge transfer) including current-state assessment roadmaps pilot planning endorsements and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong skills in process modellingand business process design and document improved processes.
  • Stakeholder engagement and User experience research:Ability to synthesise customer/stakeholder insights into practical improvements and clear recommendations.
  • Data & reporting:Building actionable reports/dashboards; translating metrics into decisions; experience with Power BIand the M365stack.
  • Stakeholder management:Skilled at stakeholder alignment communication planning and adoption tactics.
  • Communication & enablement:Clear written and visual communication (infographics explainers Viva Engage posts); ability to run workshops and engagement activities.
  • High level experience in coaching and influencingin the adoption and capability uplift.
  • Collaboration & influence:Comfortable embedding in cross-functional teams; builds trust; navigates enterprise governance and standards.

Desirable

  • Certifications in Business Analysis orKnowledge Management.
  • Familiarity with SharePointinformation architecture and content design.
  • Exposure to lessons management frameworks.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Process mapping:Experience with business process inventories gap analyses mapping standards/levels; familiarity with Signavio.

Experience level

  • Typically 5 yearsin Knowledge/Insights Business Improvement or related roles within complex multi-stakeholder environments.
