Job Summary
Job Role: IBDP History & Global Politics Teacher
Location: Lucknow & Sector 70A Gurgaon
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate IBDP History & Global Politics Teacher to deliver inquiry-based concept-driven instruction in line with the IB Diploma Programme. The teacher will help students develop historical thinking political analysis skills and global awareness while preparing them for internal and external assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach IBDP History (SL/HL) and Global Politics (SL/HL) as per IB guidelines
- Plan and deliver engaging inquiry-based lessons aligned with IB philosophy
- Guide students in Internal Assessments (IA) research and source analysis
- Develop students critical thinking essay-writing and evaluative skills
- Integrate contemporary global issues and multiple perspectives into teaching
- Prepare students for IB examinations and assessments
- Use formative and summative assessments aligned with IB criteria
- Maintain accurate academic records and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with the DP Coordinator and humanities department
- Participate in IB training professional development and school initiatives
Qualifications & Skills
- Masters degree in History / Political Science / International Relations or a related field
- Teaching qualification (./PGCE or equivalent) preferred
- IB Diploma Programme teaching experience or IB training is an advantage
- Strong understanding of IB assessment criteria command terms and ATL skills
- Excellent communication classroom management and mentoring skills
- Commitment to inquiry-based and student-centered learning
