Purpose of Role: The Field Services Specialist of the Global Support and Services Team is a customer advocate comfortable serving clients while delivering high-quality solutions and maintaining stakeholder relationships. The role consists of planning installing commissioning maintaining and troubleshooting Weir Motion Metrics products at client mine sites and remotely. Successful candidates should be comfortable working in remote mining environments and around heavy machinery. Significant travel is expected as the company has deployed systems globally it might be a good opportunity to meet people from different cultures. This role is hybrid; office visits will be scheduled as required to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero-harm behaviors to support our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.
  • Customer Satisfaction and Technical Account Management: Maintain the health of assigned customer accounts by ensuring all activities are accurately documented in the ticketing system and properly followed up. Apply project management practices to plan coordinate and execute assigned tasks ensuring timely delivery smooth operations and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Technical Services: Deliver highquality service and support throughout the planning installation commissioning operation and maintenance phases of Motion Metrics systems. Maintain a strong understanding of the technical aspects of all supported products and services. Responsibilities include supervising thirdparty installers and/or performing direct handson work during system installation to ensure proper setup and optimal performance.
  • Self-Management: Independently manage assigned projects and maintenance visits across multiple regions worldwide. Each service trip includes full responsibility for travel arrangements operational planning and logistics coordination to ensure efficient and successful execution of field activities.
  • Technical Training: Deliver comprehensive technical training to both customerfacing teams and internal stakeholders. Work closely with the Training Department to develop refine and validate standardized global training materials that ensure consistent knowledge transfer and effective system adoption.
  • Documentation: Create update and enhance technical documentationincluding manuals instructional guides and reference materialsto support customer understanding and ensure consistent use across the organization. Proactively identify opportunities to improve documentation quality and accessibility for both internal and external audiences.
  • Communication: Lead and promote effective communication across all assigned tasks ensuring stakeholders remain consistently informed. Utilize existing communication channels or propose and implement new tools and processes to enhance clarity transparency and collaboration.
  • Global Guidance and Influence: Provide support and expertise to the Regional Support and Services Teams across the world by delivering accurate knowledge of products and company processes while reinforcing adherence to established standards.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering preferred in the areas of Mechanical Mechatronics Electrical or Electronics. At least three years of experience in the mining industry or working with heavy mining equipment is a plus.
  • Fluent in English with excellent spoken and written communication skills. Other languages skills are a plus.
  • Computer skills and experience in Excel Networking SalesForce Office Suite Cloud computing Windows & Linux OS and communication systems would be beneficial.
  • Possess a valid passport drivers license and driving experience and willingness to travel frequently including extended stays in mining locations locally and internationally.

Compensation: $75000 to 88000 CAD (Depending on experience).
