Position Overview
The Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive patient-centered nursing care to a diverse adult population in an acute care setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment telemetry competency and the ability to manage patients with a variety of medical and cardiac conditions while collaborating effectively with the interdisciplinary care team.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate patients and assist providers with patient care delivery.
Plan implement and document nursing care based on individual patient needs.
Perform comprehensive initial and ongoing patient assessments.
Identify patient priorities through assessment planning intervention and evaluation.
Develop and coordinate individualized plans of care.
Perform therapeutic nursing interventions appropriate to patient acuity.
Manage and monitor patients on telemetry including those receiving non-titratable cardiac drips.
Document care in accordance with professional standards patient acuity and clinical priorities.
Advocate for evidence-based nursing practice and support care delivery innovations.
Provide patient-centered care aligned with professional nursing practice models.
Float to comparable units as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Schedule & Work Details
Hours per Week: 36
Shift Length: 12 hours
Schedule: 3 shifts per week
Shift Time: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM (expected arrival 6:45 PM)
Patient Ratio: Approximately 56 patients per RN
Patient Population
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a Medical-Surgical / Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital.
Strong background in Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing.
Experience managing patients on non-titratable cardiac drips and medications.
Ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment.
Strong teamwork communication and critical-thinking skills.

Basic Life Support (BLS) AHA
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Telemetry certification/competency
