Maintenance Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead all maintenance operations within our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring that all equipment utilities and building systems operate safely efficiently and reliably to support continuous production. The Maintenance Manager will oversee a team of maintenance technicians manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs and collaborate with production and engineering teams to drive equipment reliability reduce downtime and support operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical expertise and a commitment to safety quality and continuous improvement.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Plan coordinate and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all plant equipment utilities and systems.
Lead troubleshooting and repair activities involving mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Ensure appropriate spare parts inventory levels are maintained to support uninterrupted plant operations.
Manage maintenance work orders schedules and documentation using the plants CMMS.
Partner with production to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement long-term corrective solutions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on maintenance practices equipment uptime reliability and cost reduction.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA environmental and corporate safety standards.
Oversee vendor relationships and manage maintenance-related contracts and service agreements.
Supervise mentor and develop maintenance technicians promoting high performance and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Schedule and prioritize maintenance activities to minimize downtime and production interruptions.
Foster a proactive safety-first culture with an emphasis on continuous improvement and teamwork.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Bachelors degree in Engineering Industrial Technology or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
Minimum of 57 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong working knowledge of mechanical electrical and PLC-controlled systems.
Experience implementing and managing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Proficiency with CMMS systems.
Excellent leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to manage budgets prioritize work and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong commitment to safety quality and operational excellence.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
The work environment is generally favorable and split between office and warehouse settings. Lighting temperature and noise levels are adequate in the office environment but may require additional accommodations when working in the warehouse. While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to talk hear and use hands to handle or touch objects and operate a keyboard. The employee may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
