The School of Dentistry shares the mission of the Oregon Health & Science University to provide educational programs basic and clinical research and high quality care and community programs. We strive to foster an environment of mutual respect where the free exchange of ideas can flourish. The dental school prepares graduates in general dentistry and the dental specialties to deliver compassionate and ethical oro-facial health care.
The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the universitys missions and goals of teaching research patient care outreach and public service.

Function/Duties of Position
The duties of this faculty position include:
Duties include teaching didactic courses in radiology and patient evaluation to dental students and graduate students as Director for Oral and Maxillofacial RadiologyProviding clinical instruction in oral and maxillofacial radiology and the ability to facilitate a smoothly running Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Clinic are requiredAbility to interact and participate in the medical radiology department and proven ability to conduct research are also highly desirable.
The duties of the Director for Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology include:
- Serve as the Dental Radiation Safety Officer for the School of Dentistry and serve as liaison with OHSU and local/state radiation organizations with regards to radiation and compliance
- Oversee all aspects of dental radiation delivery interpretation and compliance for the OHSU Dental Clinics
- Manage the dental radiology staff
- Lead strategic oral and craniofacial imaging and radiation equipment investment and implementation for the School of Dentistry
- Oversee current radiation equipment maintenance and replacement activities
- Teach didactic courses and clinical instruction in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology to dental and graduate students and residents
- Provide patient evaluation based on oral and craniofacial imaging data
- Oversee the Radiology Interpretation Service program
- Develop a strategic plan and business plan for an external cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) reading service
Required Qualifications
- DDS/DMD
- Specialty training in Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology
- Board Certified or Board eligible for the ABOMR
- Oregon Dental License
- ACLS/BLS issued by the American Heart Association
