Job Summary:
This role is for a Cath Lab Tech responsible for assisting in a Cath Lab setting. The position involves scrubbing monitoring and providing care for patients undergoing various cardiac procedures. The tech will work in a fast-paced environment assisting with procedures such as balloon angioplasty PCI stent placement and other advanced interventions.

Responsibilities:
- Scrubbing for and circulating during Cath Lab procedures.
- Monitoring patients vital signs and telemetry during procedures.
- Assisting with the insertion of PA lines and Impella devices.
- Providing structural heart and TAVR experience.
- Performing balloon angioplasty PCI stents thrombectomy Impella insertion Left & Right Heart Catheterization and rotablader procedures.
- Starting IVs and administering conscious sedation.
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment.
- Documenting patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Answering unit phone and directing calls accordingly.
- Performing selected patient registration activities.
- Coordinating equipment/supply needs. Notifying appropriate department of equipment malfunction.
- Floating to EP if needed.
- Working in the patient holding area inside of the Cath lab.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience.
- Experience as a traveler.
- Scrub Monitor PA Lines and Telemetry Structural Heart & TAVR experience.
- Cath Lab Procedure Experience: Balloon Angioplasty PCI Stents Thrombectomy Impella insertion Left & Right Heart Catheterization Rotablader.
- ACLS certification.
- BLS certification.
- RCIS or ARRT certification.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Circulate skills.
- IV Start skills.
- Conscious Sedation skills.
- Cath Lab Procedure Experience: Watchman Procedures Septal Closure Ablations Coil Embolization Filter Placement.
- EKG Rhythm Interpretation experience.
Special Considerations:
- RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite.
- Call offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.
- Call is one day a week one weekend per 4 weeks schedule. And the number can fluctuate if a someone calls out sick.
- Floating could be required but would be rare (if traveler ever had to float it would be to EP but that rarely happens. Unit has a pt holding area inside of the Cath lab traveler may have to go to on occasion. But it is part of the Cath lab.)
- Complex PCI procedures are performed in the lab.
Scheduling:
- 40 hours per week.
- 10-hour day shifts: 07:00 - 17:30 Monday-Friday.
- Call Requirement: With Callback and Weekend Call Required *Call is one day a week one weekend per 4 weeks schedule. And the number can fluctuate if a someone calls out sick.
