Job Summary:
The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for administering radiation therapy to patients ensuring accurate treatment delivery and monitoring patient responses. This role requires strong technical skills attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within a healthcare team.

Responsibilities:
- Administer radiation therapy treatments according to established protocols and physicians orders.
- Monitor patients during treatment and report any adverse reactions or changes in condition.
- Ensure accurate documentation of treatment parameters and patient information.
- Maintain and operate radiation therapy equipment performing quality assurance checks as required.
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- Assist in the preparation of treatment plans and simulations.
- Adhere to safety standards and regulations to minimize radiation exposure.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Radiation Therapist license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
- Strong knowledge of radiation therapy principles and techniques.
- BLS Provider CPR certification required at hire
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience working in a pediatric setting.
- Familiarity with electronic medical database systems.
Special Considerations:
- This position is at a Childrens Hospital / Level II Pediatric Trauma Center.
Scheduling:
- Work schedule and shift type not specified.
- Weekends are not required.
- On-call is not required.
- Block schedules are not required.
