We are seeking experienced strategic planning professionals to help deliver this vision. There are two (2) Full Time opportunities available; one Permanent Full Time and one Term contract until December 2026.
About the role
This position leads the delivery of priority strategy and planningprojects that support Councils long-term growth strategic objectives.
Working within the City Futures team in CouncilsCity Strategic Planning Unit you will manage complex high-profile projects and contribute to the development and implementation of key planning strategies policies and plans. This includes strategic research and advocacy initiatives as well as preparing and assessing master plans planning proposals development control plans development contributions plans and voluntary planning agreements.
You will work collaboratively across Council and with external stakeholders to deliver integrated evidence-based planning outcomes while supporting advocacy monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You
You are a highly capable planning professional with strong strategic analytical and stakeholder engagement skills. You are comfortable operating in complex environments and can balance competing priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes.
You will bring:
Qualifications
Degree qualification in town planning urban planning public policy or a related discipline relevant to strategic planning within local government or a complex organisational environment.
