Responsibilities
The Orthopedic Research Assistant plays a pivotal role in advancing research objectives while ensuring compliance with clinical trial protocols institutional policies and regulatory standards. The Assistant ensures compliance with clinical trial protocols Institutional Review Board (IRB) approvals Northside Hospital policies Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and other relevant standards. This role works with Northside Hospital Central Research and Orthopedic Physician stakeholders to design organize and implement sponsored and investigator initiated trials. The Orthopedic Research Assistant collects prepares and distributes information necessary for protocol development and study initiation. He or she maintains integrity & quality of research data patient enrollment process data analysis for various medical publications & reports protocol implementing and research database management.
Qualifications
- Experience working within a community hospital or physician practice setting is preferred as well as having experience working with physician groups.
- Experience in research methodologies data analysis and statistical software (e.g. PearlDiver SPSS SAS R) is highly valued.
- Experience in clinical research strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite database management and possibly programming languages (e.g. Python).
