Those in deal strategy at PwC will focus on providing strategic advice and support to clients in areas such as mergers and acquisitions divestitures and restructuring. Your work will involve analysing market trends assessing business opportunities and developing strategic frameworks to guide clients in making informed decisions regarding their deals. You will help clients navigate complex transactions identify potential risks and opportunities and develop strategies to maximise value and achieve their business objectives. Working in this area you will play a crucial role in assisting clients in formulating and executing effective strategies to optimise outcomes in their deal-making processes.

Focused on relationships you are building meaningful client connections and learning how to manage and inspire others. Navigating increasingly complex situations you are growing your personal brand deepening technical expertise and awareness of your strengths. You are expected to anticipate the needs of your teams and clients and to deliver quality. Embracing increased ambiguity you are comfortable when the path forward isnt clear you ask questions and you use these moments as opportunities to grow.

Core Responsibilities (Senior Associate M&A Operations TMT)

Support clients in the Technology Media & Telecommunications (TMT) sector with technologyfocused due diligence by helping address questions such as:

  • Are the technology platforms and operations wellinvested or will significant shortterm spending be required
  • Are the platforms and operations welldesigned and scalable for growth
  • Are the platforms and operations robust
  • Do managements proposed initiatives/projects effectively support the broader business plan

Additionally responsibilities include:

  • Supporting TMT clients and CTOs with technology cost assessments (carveout costs OPEX/CAPEX evaluations synergy assessments).
  • Bringing technical understanding of product management within a software business (preferable).
  • Applying sector knowledge (software/infrastructure) even if all areas are not covered by a candidate.

MustHave Skills

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to engage senior business leaders.
  • Strong quantitative and written skills; able to build analyses and evidence-based arguments even with incomplete information.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and curiosity with a firstprinciples mindset.
  • Ability to stay focused on the why when conducting analysis or reviewing documentation.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and in ambiguous situations.
  • Highly adaptable with readiness to learn diverse industries and product types.
  • Capability or willingness to develop skills in data analytics tools such as Alteryx Power BI Tableau.

Experience

  • Ability to comment on the appropriateness of a platforms design choices (e.g. application architecture programming languages).
  • Operates as a consultant with TMT sector experience or works in a technical role within a technology / technologyenabled company with handson technical delivery/support experience.
    OR
  • Experience as a technical duediligence consultant (ideally in TMT) and/or operating in a technical role within a technology media or telecom business.

Eligibility Criteria

  • MBA in Strategy Marketing or Finance from a premium BSchool.
  • 36 years of prior relevant work experience.
  • Experience in M&A or management consulting domains.
