Kinsley Steel Inc. a leader in the structural steel fabrication industry is seeking a motivated and experienced Loading/Delivery Lead to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality efficiency and safety of our delivery and loading operations while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Position Summary: The Loading/Delivery Lead will oversee loading and delivery operations ensuring adherence to project specifications quality standards and delivery schedules. This individual will work closely with the Fabrication Plant Supervisor and other departments to coordinate operations and maintain compliance with all safety and quality protocols. The role requires strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach to managing daily activities and achieving operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:.
- Operational Oversight:
- Ensure load tickets are detailed accurate and entered into EPMgo. Provide training to employees on the EPMgo shipping module.
- Coordinate with the Shop Superintendent and Production Team to assign painting tasks.
- Maintain awareness of daily schedules ensuring the painting and loading team meets delivery dates including working overtime and weekends as necessary.
- Identify and recommend operational improvements to management for review and approval.
- Locate and stage/load material for future deliveries.
- Coordinate with truck drivers on what they need to load for their next delivery.
- Receive deliveries at the loading dock and ensure all items are accounted for and that there is no damage to the product.
- Sort hardware/miscellaneous items that have been delivered into their specific jobs and accurately labeling what it is for.
- Maintain inventory of welding consumables and work with supplier on restocking.
Safety and Discipline:- Enforce strict adherence to all safety protocols and ensure team compliance.
- Participate with shop management in the Employee Corrective Action and Progressive Discipline Policy and Program.
Leadership:- Provide professional fair and consistent leadership aligned with the values of Kinsley Steel Inc.
- Foster a collaborative productive and positive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a structural steel fabrication or loading operation with at least 1 year in a leadership role preferred.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Understanding of Microsoft Excel and able to accurately and efficiently input data on a computer.
- Familiarity with EPMgo or similar production/shipping software is preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead a team and enforce company policies consistently and fairly.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities schedules and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on ensuring quality and accuracy in work output.
- Safety-Oriented: Commitment to upholding and promoting workplace safety standards.
