Job Summary

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Lead to drive our test automation strategy and framework specifically focusing on Cypress. As the QA Automation Lead you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers product managers DevOps and other QA team members to ensure high-quality standards across all stages of our software development lifecycle. Your expertise will help us implement efficient scalable automation solutions and improve our products reliability and performance.
Additionally we are seeking candidates who have hands-on experience working with AI-driven tools or AI-based testing solutions to enhance test efficiency predictive quality analysis and intelligent automation.
Key Responsibilities:
Automation Strategy and Framework:
Lead the design development and implementation of a robust test automation framework using Cypress.
Define and drive best practices in automation and continuous testing with a focus on scalability and maintainability.
Leverage AI-powered testing tools to improve test optimization defect prediction and test case generation.
Test Planning and Execution:
Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web applications ensuring maximum coverage for functional regression integration and end-to-end testing.
Collaborate with development and product teams to create comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business requirements.
Utilize AI-based test data generation and intelligent test selection techniques where applicable.
Team Leadership:
Mentor and guide a team of automation engineers promoting knowledge sharing training and technical growth.
Lead code reviews provide feedback and ensure high-quality standards in the automation suite.
Encourage adoption of AI-assisted development and testing practices within the team.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements address test findings and drive solutions to production.
Engage with DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines ensuring timely feedback on code quality.
Support implementation of AI-integrated CI/CD quality gates where applicable.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify gaps in test coverage recommend automation improvements and contribute to the overall QA strategy.
Stay up to date with the latest trends in test automation Cypress and AI-driven QA tools and introduce new tools or practices as necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
8 years of experience in QA Automation with at least 2 years of hands-on experience using Cypress.
Proven track record in leading and managing QA automation teams or projects.
Strong experience in JavaScript/TypeScript as well as working knowledge of frontend technologies.
Practical experience working with AI-powered testing tools AI-based test case generation predictive defect analytics or integrating AI capabilities into QA processes.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
Experience with test case management tools like TestRail Zephyr or JIRA.
Excellent problem-solving skills attention to detail and a proactive approach to ensuring software quality.
Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across departments.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in BDD frameworks and Gherkin syntax.
Knowledge of API testing and using tools like Postman or REST-assured.
Exposure to AI/ML concepts or working alongside Data Science/AI teams.
Understanding of performance and load testing best practices.
