Required Skills & Experience
- 8 years handson experience with SAP APO SNP and DP including configuration of:
- Planning books macros CVC creation
- Location-product master creation
- TL creation & heuristics setup
- SNP planning runs and exception handling
- Distributed demand scenarios
- Strong command of APO master data objects (product master location master BOM TL resources).
- Experience implementing APO in hybrid multiERP environments (SAP AX/U8/CROSS or similar).
- Exposure to Azure Data Factory Fabric MDS or modern data platforms.
- Background in global supply chain planning frameworks.
- Prior experience establishing data governance models master data ownership and quality controls.
Role Overview
- Experienced Senior SAP APO TechnoFunctional Lead to drive endtoend solution design build rollout activities across APO DP (Demand Planning) and APO SNP (Supply Network Planning).
- Deep functional understanding of APO planning processes strong handson configuration expertise and the ability to work independently across a multisystem landscape that includes nonSAP ERPs Azure/Fabric and custom middleware integrations.
- Serve as the solution owner for APOleading requirements clarification functional design technical integration governance testing and stabilization. This role is critical for delivering a scalable global planning platform
- Lead solution design configuration and validation for APO SNP and DP including planning models planning heuristics master data structures planning horizons and integration of demand/supply signals.
- Define and implement endtoend planning processes: CVC creation DP forecasting flows (if in scope) SNP heuristics TL setup locationproduct master creation and planning customer setup.
- Drive APO design decisions ensuring consistency with global planning architecture (DP/SNP Distributed Demand supply propagation logic etc.).
- Own the full lifecycle from requirement refinement functional design build SIT UAT cutover hypercare
- Lead technical-functional troubleshooting for APO: master data inconsistencies planning exceptions SNP proposals DP inputs CIF integration issues.
- Provide solution documentation aligned with Lean Business Case and architectural governance expectations.
- Collaborate with business planning teams (Demand Planners Network Planners) to translate planning requirements into APO configuration.
- Facilitate workshops design walkthroughs and testing cycles with business and IT.
- Act as the primary APO SME for Australia rollout and future waves (China GJ etc.).
- Contribute to master data harmonization ownership and governance design in alignment with project templates.
- Support onboarding and mentoring of internal members and external consultants to ensure continuity.
- Identify risks across data integration and planning models; propose mitigation and improvement opportunities.
Integration & Data Architecture Alignment Skills
- Lead discussions with integration teams on Azure Data Factory / MDS / middleware flows for master data and transactional data (material location BOM TL on-hand open orders sales history).
- Ensure field mappings data validations and data governance controls align with APO expectations.
- Work with crossfunctional stakeholders to ensure data readiness (material master PLC status/dates brand hierarchy planning customers TLs etc.).
Integration & Data
- Solid understanding ofintegration patterns involving APO including:
- Azure/Fabric pipelines
- MDS master data flows
- NonSAP ERP mapping and reconciliation challenges
- Validation rules harmonization PLC logic material governance
- Ability to analyze troubleshoot and align on data issues affecting planning results.
TechnoFunctional Skillset
- Ability to independently translate functional planning requirements into technical specification and APO configuration.
- Experience working with ABAP teams for enhancements BAdi implementations CIF debugging and interface validation.
- Experience leading APO workstreams in multimarket/global rollouts.
- Ability to drive workshops challenge assumptions simplify processes and guide the team toward bestpractice planning design.
- Excellent communication stakeholder management and documentation skills
