Overview
As a Correctional AA you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals who provide care to the individuals in residence. Working within a controlled environment where security is top priority and the days are never dull you will have various duties to keep you engaged. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex medical needs.

Responsibilities
The Administrative Assistant plays a critical role in our continued mission to provide quality healthcare that protects the rights dignity and health of our unique patient population. Duties and responsibilities may include and not be limited to:
Administrative Duties:
- Receive and route visitors and inquiries and issues to the appropriate staff
- Transmit correspondence and medical records via mail email or fax
- Perform various clerical and administrative functions including ordering and maintaining an inventory of supplies and sorting and distribute all mail and interoffice correspondence
- Perform bookkeeping duties such as preparation of expense reports and maintaining petty cash and receipts
- Transmit and maintain all medical claims and all subpoenas and/or medical record requests as required
- Assist the HSA and DON with recruiting efforts credentialing scheduling interviews and processing new hire documentation
- Utilization management to include processing offsite referrals appointments patient registrations and transport requests
- Gather and maintain documentation required for all accreditation surveys

Requirements / Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED); two years college preferred
- Ability to obtain CPR certification
- Must be proficient utilizing Microsoft Office suite of products
- Able to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
- Display integrity professionalism and be able to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies procedures and legal requirements
- Must pass the facilitys criminal background check and drug screening
Physical Capabilities:
Must have the ability to stand for long periods lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds) bend squat reach push pull walk significant distances and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
