Job Description
Athletic Facility/Equipment Manager
Title: Athletic Facility/Equipment Manager
Qualifications: A high school diploma; although a bachelors degree is preferred.
Reports To: Athletic Director
Job Goal: To oversee and maintain all athletic facilities grounds and equipment utilized in the districts athletic program.
Mission and Goals
- Works with the Athletic Director and Superintendent to articulate and promote the school systems vision of learning and teaching.
- Monitors and evaluates progress toward accomplishment of system goals and objectives.
- Ensures that program plans are consistent with the systems strategic plan.
- Organizes daily monthly and yearly schedules to facilitate learning and teaching in the schools.
Management of Educational Resources
- Administers the finances of the district with sound fiscal management.
- Achieves maximum results for available resources and money spent.
- Strives to meet the needs of the school district.
General Responsibilities
- Inspects athletic facilities and grounds to ensure general cleanliness and to make sure they are cleaned before and after athletic events.
- Keeps athletic facilities free of litter and trash.
- Prepares maintenance requests for repairs as needed.
- Washes and dries athletic clothing and returns it to a designated area for each sport.
- Maintains the football equipment room and inventory.
- Maintains the practice football field and track facility.
- Works designated athletic events. Sets up and removes equipment and secures the facility.
- Cleans a specified area of the athletic facility.
- Performs others tasks as assigned by the Superintendent the Deputy Superintendent and the Superintendents designee
Terms of Employment: Ten eleven or twelve months. Salary and work year will be established by the Board.
Evaluation: Performance of tills job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
