KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises Ink Technicians and Graphic Technical Coordinator in all ink support activities. On-call 24 hours for addressing quality problems. May include multi-plant responsibilities.
Perform on-site customer service and sales backup. Coordinate cust. orders and ink inventory to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient product flow.
Initiate & participate in customer problem solving and productivity progs & projs.
Manage the ink blending process within the Flint TPS Ink Management process:
. A. Coordinate scheduling of ink deliveries and ink inventories for the customer.
. B. Identify set and review quality standards for customers. Effectively coordinate efforts with key customer personnel particularly during qualification trials.
. C. Color matching including maintenance of customer formulation files. .
. D. Develop and maintain a plan to work off press returns and obsolete materials and perform appropriate record keeping functions.
. E. Not responsible for arranging for the disposal of any hazardous wastes for the customer as such disposal is the sole responsibility of the customer.
. F. Establish and monitor appropriate housekeeping & safety procedures within customer locations.

Function as liaison between the company and the customer regarding trials and product development needs.
Participates with the company s technical and information systems groups to provide support for the customer s VOC compliance programs.

Responsible for maintaining compliance schedules monitoring systems and generating necessary reports for same.
Perform all related personnel supervisory functions including performance evaluation scheduling recommendations for promotion and demotion and other forms of discipline of employees.
