Job Summary

We are hiring a Program Manager (Technical) for one of our clients in Trenton NJ.

Job Description:

  • Under the direction of the Community Health and Wellness Unit(CHWU) Service Director this position will provide oversight of and serve as the manager for the Preventive Health and Health Services Block Grant(PHHSBG). The candidate will serve as primary program contact to ensure progress toward program goals and objectives; liaise with internal/external stake holders; participate in all conference calls and meetings identify and leverage public health datasets to effectively direct programming prioritize policies and identify priority populations; and effectively analyze data to identify the needs of the target populations; develop strategies to address barriers and access; and use program evaluation findings to improve program performance. This position is also tasked with the day-to-day management of the program grantees and is responsible for program planning implementation and reporting; and acts as the primary CDC contact and coordinates and participates in monthly calls.
  • More specifically the candidate will serve as the State PHHSBG Coordinator.
  • This entails managing a portfolio of sub-awardees that are funded to carry out the goals and objectives of the Preventive Health and Health Services Block Grant which must include policy systems and environmental (PSE) change strategies.
  • This position also serves as the point of contact for the PHHSBG funder the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
  • This position is responsible for developing all reports and technical documents managing the PHHSBG budget and advising the New Jersey Preventive Health Advisory Committee (NJPHAC) on any budget related matters that require the committees approval.

Skills required:

  • program management and administration program research and development resource planning and budgeting and staffing

Education require:

  • Possession of a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
  • Degree preferred in Public Health Public Administration Business Administration or a related health area

Experience required:

  • Five (5) years of professional experience in any of the following areas
  • Two (2) years which shall have been in a supervisory capacity.

Working hours:

  • 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Lunch: 1hour (unpaid)
