Position Purpose

This position is responsible for the preventative maintenance inspections and repair of buildings grounds and equipment at Old Town Trolley Tours of St. Augustine and attractions. You are to ensure that the companys high standards of safety is reflected in the appearance and the condition of our equipment and facilities.

Requirements:

Essential Functions

• Maintain an open line of communication with your manager on all issues.
• As assigned by the manager oversee special projects to ensure that the facility meets environment health and security standards and complies with government regulations.
• Perform preventative maintenance general maintenance inspections and install/repair to the buildings including electrical plumbing and mechanical systems grounds and building equipment so the business continues to run smoothly and that the physical conditions does not deteriorate. This includes the painting installation and repair of but not limited to buildings door/windows and drywall. Refer to blueprints repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary.
• Diagnose problems and determine how to repair them this includes determining if outside contracting is needed for the repair. Notify the manager concerning the need to hire outside the company to complete the repairs.
• Maintain contact with outside entities performing repairs or new construction to ensure work is done to our standards and in a timely manner.

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• High degrees of self-motivation and the ability to work independently and as a team member within the scope of established rules and regulations.
• Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying taking the time to understand the points being made asking questions as appropriate and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships treat people with respect under all circumstances instill trust in others besides upholding the values of the organization.
• Working knowledge of and the ability to determine the type of tool and equipment needed to do a job.
• Ability to understand moderately complex written instructions and warnings.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of general light maintenance preferred.

Other Requirements

• Must pass pre-employment MVR/background check and substance abuse testing.
• Valid FL Drivers License with acceptable driving record for the past three years.
• Reliable transportation.
