JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse (RN) Program Manager

Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) Program Manager reports to the Director of Nursing (DON) and provides leadership program coordination and oversight for students and faculty in the RN program. This position ensures that the program meets the standards of the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) the Michigan Board of Nursing and institutional policies. The RN Program Manager fosters positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders supports faculty development and promotes student success through evidence-based teaching and learning strategies.
Essential Functions
- Actively engage in student retention activities including early identification and intervention for at-risk students.
- Maintain documented communication with students and faculty regarding attendance academic progress and professional development.
- Provide academic advising to students and mentor instructors on effective academic counseling techniques.
- Ensure all student documentation meets site and clinical partner requirements for placement.
- Assist the DON with preparation of reports for state federal and accrediting agencies including ACEN self-study and systematic program evaluation reports.
- Maintain supply inventory anticipate departmental needs and manage requisitions and cost allocations.
- Carry out departmental functions and represent the program in professional meetings and events in the absence of the DON.
- Actively participate in the recruitment onboarding and mentoring of RN faculty and staff.
- Teach courses as assigned ensuring alignment with ACEN standards and NCLEX-RN test plan.
- Attend all faculty meetings and required professional development sessions.
- Collaborate with the Occupation Advisory Committee and maintain positive communication with the nursing and healthcare community.
- Coordinate and/or deliver special topic workshops not covered by academic faculty (e.g. safety training clinical readiness).
- Serve as campus HESI resource:
- Guide students in navigating HESI resources and HESI Compass Live Review.
- Utilize HESI assessment to coach students through academic challenges.
- Assist students with remediation when benchmarks are not met.
- Partner with the Career Services to support communication regarding NCLEX preparation.
- Provide tutoring and NCLEX-RN preparation including boot camps and test-taking strategy workshops.
- Ensure program compliance with ACEN standards including curriculum integrity faculty qualifications student learning outcomes and continuous quality improvement.
- Other RN program-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- Active unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan.
- Masters of Science in nursing (MSN) from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
- Minimum of three (3) years work experience in a post-secondary nursing education setting is preferred.
- At least one (1) academic year of full-time teaching experience in a post-secondary institution.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ACEN accreditation standards and processes helpful.
Working / Physical Demands
- May require evening or weekend work.
- Frequent standing walking and sitting for extended periods.
- Sufficient hand arm and finger dexterity to operate a phone computer keyboard and other office equipment.
- Regularly required to see talk and hear to perform essential job functions.
