Job Summary

The Account Manager is responsible for driving new business development and revenue growth by identifying pursuing and securing new client partnerships. This role actively represents the company in the marketplace through travel in-person meetings and industry events delivering presentations and solution-based pitches to prospective clients. The Account Manager also cultivates and maintains strategic client relationships manages long-term sales cycles from initial contact through contract execution and collaborates with internal teams to ensure a strong client experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets
  • Travel regularly to meet with prospective clients and conduct onsite presentations
  • Lead discovery conversations and tailored sales pitches to prospective clients
  • Own and manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach through signed agreement
  • Build and maintain relationships with high level decision makers to support both new business development and long-term growth
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and events to generate leads and expand market presence
  • Prepare proformas RFP responses proposals and other sales and onboarding documents
  • Manage and support long sales cycles for prospective clients ensuring consistent follow-up and progress toward close
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve escalated client issues and support successful onboarding of new clients
  • Support the Client Success team to ensure a seamless transition from sale to implementation and ongoing service
  • Lead client focused initiatives including appreciation programs and seminars to strengthen retention and expansion opportunities
  • Meet or exceed established revenue and growth targets through new client acquisition and account expansion
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree in business administration healthcare management health information management or related field or a combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in account management sales or client relations within the healthcare industry preferably in medical billing or healthcare services.
  • Demonstrated success in managing long sales cycles and developing relationships with prehospital healthcare providers or organizations.
  • Prior experience representing a company at healthcare-related conferences and events.
  • Familiarity with prehospital healthcare billing regulations and standards including HIPAA regulations
  • Proven ability to resolve complex client issues related to billing and revenue cycle management.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of healthcare billing processes and revenue cycle management
  • Strong communication presentation and negotiation skills tailored to prehospital healthcare and fire service stakeholders
  • Business development skills including prospecting relationship building and moving opportunities through the sales cycle
  • Ability to deliver effective presentations and represent the company at industry events and client meetings
  • Analytical skills to assess market trends and competitor activities within the prehospital healthcare and fire service sector
  • Problem solving abilities specific to prehospital healthcare billing challenges and client needs
  • Interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients
  • Ability to develop proposals support proformas and clearly communicate value to decision makers
  • Ability to document client and prospect interactions effectively
  • Collaboration skills to work with cross functional teams

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position requires frequent travelto industry conferences client meetings and other business events includingoccasional overnight stays.
  • When not traveling work isperformed remotely with occasional on-site attendance required for trainingand quarterly or annual meetings.
