Commercial Litigation Attorney

About the Role:

As a Commercial Litigation Attorney you will manage and oversee all phases of litigation from case inception through resolution. You will serve as strategic counsel to clients across a wide range of industries and legal disciplines handling complex disputes in state courts Chancery matters mediations and arbitrations.

This role requires strong courtroom presence exceptional drafting skills and the ability to analyze intricate legal and factual issues across multiple practice areas. You will collaborate with attorneys across departments to provide comprehensive legal solutions while maintaining primary responsibility for your litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all phases of commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution
  • Develop and execute strategic case plans tailored to client objectives
  • Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis Westlaw and related platforms
  • Draft and review pleadings motions briefs discovery and settlement agreements with precision and clarity
  • Represent clients in court proceedings Chancery matters mediations arbitrations and settlement negotiations
  • Advise clients across a broad spectrum of legal issues including estate planning environmental law landlord-tenant law family law securities law personal injury law regulatory matters patent law and immigration law
  • Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups to ensure comprehensive legal representation
  • Maintain detailed case files and ensure compliance with procedural and court requirements
  • Stay current on evolving laws and regulations through ongoing research and professional development
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • Bar admission in both New Jersey and Delaware (required)
  • Proven experience handling commercial litigation across multiple practice areas
  • Chancery Court experience preferred
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
  • Proficiency in LexisNexis Westlaw and legal research tools
  • Excellent legal drafting and persuasive writing skills
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop strategic solutions
  • Strong courtroom presence and client communication skills
  • Proficiency in Outlook Word Excel Lexis Research and Adobe
  • Familiarity with NetDocs is a plus
