Litigation Associate Attorney
About the Role:
This is an opportunity for a mid-level litigation associate (3 5 years experience) to step into a hands-on role with meaningful responsibility from day one. You will work closely with experienced partners on sophisticated insurance coverage and defense matters while also managing your own caseload.
The role offers a strong balance of mentorship and autonomy allowing you to deepen your expertise in coverage analysis litigation strategy and client advisory while building toward independent case management and leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent insurance carriers and their insureds in complex litigation matters
- Analyze insurance policies and draft coverage opinions and legal memoranda
- Manage cases from initial investigation through resolution including strategy development
- Draft pleadings motions and discovery documents
- Take and defend depositions
- Participate in mediations and arbitrations
- Support trial preparation and overall case strategy
- Communicate directly with clients on case updates and legal strategy
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- 3 5 years of litigation experience ideally in insurance coverage or defense
- Active bar admission in PA NJ NY DE or MD (PA preferred)
- Experience with depositions motion practice and discovery management
- Strong legal research writing and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and work directly with clients
- Interest in developing case management and supervisory skills
- Experience analyzing insurance policies and drafting coverage opinions is strongly preferred
