Project Description

The ETS Business Systems Delivery (BSD) Customer Engagement Pega department supports manages and implements a portfolio of ETS system capital initiatives with our Customer Operations Electric Operations and Customer Energy Solution business partners. This ETS team supports each initiative from conception to implementation and provides the necessary ETS support required to either enhance existing systems create or enhance interfaces and or design develop test and implement new applications.

The Customer Engagement Pega Team is looking for a senior Project Manager/ Business Analyst with strong communications skills to work with our existing ETS delivery team to design develop test and implement key functional enhancements based on business requirements from our product owner and regulator. The ideal candidate has strong communication and problem-solving skills can help foster relationships facilitate and coordinate standard project operations and support and drive excellence.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Ensure the project team complies with operational standards and adheres to Microsoft Azure DevOps protocols for reporting tasks defects and time.
  • Organize and facilitate project status meetings working sessions and relevant scrum ceremonies (e.g. daily standups backlog grooming sprint retrospectives).
  • Prepare and distribute comprehensive progress reports and meeting minutes.
  • Collaborate with the team to implement and maintain the overall project or work plan.
  • Collaborate with product owners to prepare business requirements documentation.
  • Write user stories and outline both the definition of done and the definition of ready.
  • Coordinate project schedules in close collaboration with the Product Owner.
  • Oversee adherence to all quality assurance processes including periodic reviews and knowledge transitions to minimize impact on project delivery.
  • Effectively communicate all requirements project plans and changes in commitments to stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships and coordinate activities across teams in different locations.
  • Define release scope and schedule prioritizing consistent and timely value delivery.
  • Work collaboratively to identify obstacles and proactively facilitate their resolution.
  • Seek management support to address and remove team impediments as necessary.
  • Represent the project team during meetings and official functions.
  • Develop and manage project and work plans for assigned program work streams.
  • Balance and adjust scope schedule budget quality and risks to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Monitor progress at defined milestones implementing corrective measures to keep projects on time and within budget.
  • Secure senior management buy-in for all major project plans commitments and variations including requirements quality assurance budget schedule and scope adjustments.
  • Define team member roles and expectations ensuring optimal resource utilization.
  • Support team development by holding members accountable removing obstacles and facilitating growth.
  • Leverage organizational resources to enhance capacity for project work.
  • Help manage relationships with all suppliers and subcontractors. Monitor their progress and adherence to the contract.

Required Skillset

  • Strong knowledge of project management and software development methodology and tools: Agile Waterfall Scrum SDLC DevOps SaFE
  • Experience leading and mentoring IT project teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to react/produce in an Agile project atmosphere.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive business requirements documents and detailed user stories.
  • Proficient in documenting and communicating project progress against established plans and implementing corrective measures as needed.
  • Ability to manage the success of metrics defined by the project and the organization.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to define implement and maintain project process guidance (e.g. project plan and subordinate plans) tailoring organizational processes as needed in collaboration with Scrum Master.
  • Ability to ensure teams adherence to project processes and best practices identified in collaboration with Scrum Master.
  • Ability to identify clarify and resolve issues and risks escalating them as needed.
  • Ability to negotiate changes to commitments/requirements.
  • Ability to review ongoing and proposed projects to identify opportunities for reuse and process improvement.
