Junior Accounts Payable Associates
4 Days a week on site- Halifax
3 month contract
The opportunity
- We are looking forJunior Accounts Payable Associatesto join our clients finance team in Halifax. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a business or accounting background to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. Training will be provided by experienced team members.
What you will do:
- Process and verify vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts.
- Assist with payment runs and reconciliations.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
- Support the team with ad hoc finance tasks as required.
Your qualifications:
- Prior experience in accounting finance or controllership functions.
- Business Degree with a focus on Accounting or Finance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts if required.
Nice to haves:
- Professional designation (CPA CIA) or working toward one is an asset (including equivalent international designations).
- Familiarity withOracle Fusionis preferred.
