Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Speech Pathologist to help clients enhance their communication this role you will conduct comprehensive assessments develop and implement individualized treatment plans and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for the clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed assessments of clients speech language communication and swallowing abilities.
- Develop personalized therapy plans to address individual client needs and goals.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve clients communication skills.
- Collaborate with families caregivers and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
- Educate clients and their families on communication strategies and techniques.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with industry standards.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in speech pathology
Requirements
Bachelors or Masters degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited institution.
Valid registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in speech pathology.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Compassionate approach with a strong focus on client-centered care.
Proficiency in relevant assessment and therapy tools.
Augmentative and alternative communication experience is an advantage but training can be provided.

Required Skills:
MBBS MD / DNB in Anaesthesiology or an equivalent recognised qualification - Eligibility for Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) vocational or provisional vocational registration - Proven experience in general anaesthesia and critical care - Paediatric anaesthesia experience is desirable but not mandatory - Strong commitment to patient safety ethical practice and cultural competence - Willingness to relocate to New Zealand healthcare
