About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Baker to join our production team. This role involves the preparation baking and finishing of a wide range of bakery products while maintaining high standards of quality hygiene and workplace safety. Early morning weekend and public holiday shifts may be required.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing mixing and baking bread and bakery products in accordance with established recipes and daily production schedules
Operating and monitoring baking equipment including ovens mixers and provers
Measuring and weighing ingredients accurately to ensure consistency and quality
Monitoring baking processes and adjusting temperatures and baking times as required
Ensuring all baked products meet freshness taste and presentation standards
Maintaining strict food safety hygiene and workplace health and safety standards
Assisting with stock control ingredient storage and stock rotation
Cleaning and maintaining bakery equipment and work areas
Requirements
Previous experience as a baker or in a commercial bakery environment
Sound knowledge of baking techniques dough preparation and food handling practices
Ability to work early mornings weekends and public holidays
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physically fit and capable of standing for long periods

Required Skills:
AQF Certificate III in Baking or equivalent qualification OR minimum 35 years relevant commercial baking experience At least 2 years post-qualification or equivalent industry experience Proven experience in artisan and commercial bread production Strong understanding of dough fermentation baking processes and quality control Ability to work early mornings weekends and under pressure Reliable punctual and able to work independently and as part of a team.
