Were seeking a passionate and student-focused Special Education Teacher to support a school district in Nebraska City Nebraska. This is a school-based opportunity designed for an educator who is committed to creating supportive learning environments and helping students with diverse learning needs achieve academic and personal success.
The Special Education Teacher will provide individualized instruction and academic support to students receiving special education services. This role involves developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) adapting curriculum materials and collaborating with school staff and families to ensure students receive appropriate and effective educational services.
The selected educator will play a key role in promoting inclusive learning opportunities monitoring student progress and supporting both academic and behavioral development.
Role Introduction:
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Develop implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Modify curriculum and instructional strategies to support student success.
- Participate in IEP meetings team conferences and parent communication.
- Support the implementation of behavior intervention strategies when needed.
- Maintain compliance with state district and federal special education guidelines.
- Collaborate with general education teachers related service providers and school staff.
- Provide specialized instruction to students with varying learning developmental and behavioral needs.
Requirements
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field required.
- Strong collaboration classroom management and communication skills are required.
- Active Nebraska teaching certification with Special Education endorsement or eligibility to obtain licensure.
