FMLA School Psychologist
Kindergarten 5th Grade Setting
Our Organization is seeking a dedicated and student-centered School Psychologist to support a progressive Illinois school district from April 6 through May 21 (end of the school year). This full-time role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by guiding students toward academic success emotional well-being and healthy social development.
As a key contributor to the student services team you will apply your expertise in psychological evaluation intervention planning and consultative support to ensure students receive the resources and guidance they need. Youll perform comprehensive assessments provide counseling and behavioral support and collaborate with teachers administrators and families to develop individualized and effective solutions.
Position Brief:
- Conduct observations of students in classrooms and various school settings to gain valuable insights.
- Provide compassionate counseling instruction and mentoring to students facing social emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Promote wellness and resilience by reinforcing communication skills social skills problem-solving abilities anger management self-regulation self-determination and optimism.
Requirements
- Prior school-based experience is highly preferred.
- Strong collaboration communication and organizational skills.
- A masters degree or higher in School Psychology or Educational Psychology is required.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement required.
