Job Summary

We are representing our client a professional services firm offering accounting taxation audit HR outsourcing and business consulting. They focus on helping businesses manage finances streamline HR and ensure compliance to support growth and efficiency.

  • Location: Taman Desa Kuala Lumpur
  • Working hours: Mon - Fri / 9.00am to 6.00pm

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and review the preparation of tax computations and filings to ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of direct tax returns ensuring all statutory deadlines are met.
  • Provide expert advice and support to clients during tax audits mitigating risks and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Stay informed on updates to tax laws and regulations and ensure compliance across all operations.
  • Lead mentor and manage the Tax Compliance Team fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Monitor and manage daily operations to ensure efficient workflows and resource allocation.
  • Conduct performance reviews and identify development opportunities for team members.
  • Develop document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for tax-related work processes.
  • Regularly review and update internal control procedures to reflect regulatory changes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve tax processes and service delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients ensuring their tax compliance needs are met with excellence.
  • Provide proactive and practical solutions to complex tax-related issues.

Requirements:

  • Professional certification such as ACCA CPA CIMA or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in income tax compliance with a track record of managing a tax team.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations compliance procedures and reporting requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
