Job Summary
The Group Sustainability Risk & Compliance Manager will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). You will be responsible for leading the Groups integrated framework for ESG (Environmental Social and Governance) enterprise risk management and regulatory compliance. This role is pivotal in ensuring the Group adheres to Bursa Malaysia requirements and ISO standards while fostering a culture of high-level corporate governance.
Job Responsibilities
Enterprise Risk Management (ERM): Develop and monitor the Groups ERM framework maintaining risk registers and ensuring robust business continuity plans are in place.
Sustainability & ESG Leadership: Lead the preparation of sustainability reports in alignment with IFRS S1/S2 GRI Standards and Bursa Malaysia guidelines including the verification of ESG data.
Regulatory & Legal Compliance: Manage adherence to the MACC Act (Section 17A) Companies Act and Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements to safeguard the Groups reputation.
QMS & ISO Oversight: Coordinate with Quality Assurance and EHS teams to ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards through effective internal and external audits.
Board & Stakeholder Engagement: Present critical risk and sustainability insights to the Board and relevant Committees; support the CFO in investor relations and ESG disclosures.
Internal Controls & Process Improvement: Design and implement documented controls to streamline compliance monitoring and enhance operational transparency.
Strategic Advisory: Align sustainability and risk strategies with the Groups financial objectives to drive long-term value creation and ethical growth.
Requirements
Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Risk Management or a related field.
Professional Qualification: A professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA CPA MICPA) is strongly preferred.
Experience: At least 10 years of senior-level experience in risk management compliance or sustainability ideally within the manufacturing sector or a Bursa-listed company.
Technical Knowledge: Deep familiarity with IFRS S1/S2 Bursa Malaysia regulations and ISO 9001/14001 quality management systems.
Financial Acumen: Strong financial literacy with the ability to understand financial statements and the financial impact of risk decisions.
Leadership: Proven track record in stakeholder management (Board/Regulators) and the ability to drive accountability across cross-functional teams.
