Avant Law is a national specialist law firm looking for a 1-3 PAE Solicitor in Perth to join a team of purpose-driven lawyers who are passionate about defending medical practitioners. This is a permanent full-time role with a hybrid work key responsibilities include:Directly supporting the Legal Team Manager and Special Counsel this role will see you deliver high quality timely legal advice and services in respect of a broad range of medical defence matters to Avant Insurance claims managers and Avants members concerning litigated and professional conduct matters including Medical Board investigations Coronial inquests and Medicare reviews/ will also provide general medico-legal advice to Avant members and Claims Managers both locally and interstate; andAppear on behalf of medical practitioners before the Medical Board of Australia State Tribunal Coroners Court Medicare and be successful in this role you will have: Demonstrated post admission experience in private practice (ideally 1- 3 PAE) in medical negligence and/or professional conduct related litigation preferably on the defendant tertiary legal qualifications.
