Job Summary

Student Supervisor

Part-time Junior School Vlaskamp

We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Student Supervisor to assist during lunch time at Junior School Vlaskamp (JSV) campus of The British School in the Netherlands.

This is a part time role; 15 hours per week 11:20am to 2:20pm 5 days a week.

The Role

As a Student Supervisor you will:

  • Ensure a safe and stimulating play environment for our students.

  • Support childrens personal social and independence skills through play and interaction.

  • Supervise and engage with students during lunchtime both in the playground and canteen.

  • Encourage positive play by leading games and play activities.

  • Ensure students well-being by promoting health and safety including carrying out minor first aid if needed.

  • Work collaboratively with staff to support students across different age groups (ages 3).

  • Support a safe learning environment within our Foundation Stage environment.

Skills and experience:

  • Experience working with children (ideally in an educational or childcare setting).

  • Ability to manage groups of children in a supportive and positive way.

  • Strong communication skills in English (knowledge of other languages is a plus).

  • A caring responsible and proactive attitude.

  • A current First Aid certificate or willingness to undergo First Aid training.

  • Enthusiasm to work with children across all age ranges. Experience of working with children aged 3 to 4 would be an advantage.

  • An understanding of child development and expectations from 3 years old.
