Were actively seeking an experienced and strategic Manager of Finance to join a dynamic leadership team inCharlottetown PE.
This key role will oversee financial operations ensure compliance with relevant legislation and provide expert guidance to support sound financial decision-making. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated finance team and play a pivotal role in maintaining the organizations financial health.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Lead and manage the complete finance department including oversight of budgeting financial reporting audits and internal controls
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation regulations and accounting standards
- Provide financial analysis advice and recommendations to senior leadership
- Support long-term financial planning and cost management initiatives
- Manage mentor and support a team of finance professionals
- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders
- Contribute to policy development and continuous improvement of financial processes
Experience & Attributes for Success:- CPA designation in good standing is required
- Minimum seven (7) years of progressive financial management experience in a large corporation or public sector environment
- Three (3) years of progressive supervisory experience ideally within a unionized environment
- Ability to effectively and precisely communicate with strong writing presentation and listening skills that respectfully promote understanding and clarity
- Strong leadership communication and problem-solving skills
- Calm patient leadership style suited to a well-established team
- Proven analytical and critical systems thinking skills
- A creative and strategic thinker with the ability to work with detailed processes
