To thrive in these roles its helpful to have an interest in and general knowledge of laboratory practices scientific research or office/administrative support. We value candidates with strong organizational skills a willingness to learn and a desire to grow professionally.
Successful candidates will be able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a diverse team. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Google Suite databases and spreadsheets is a plus.
About CFOS:
CFOS is one of the most geographically diverse academic units at UAF. Our main office is located in Fairbanks with additional facilities in Anchorage Seward (Seward Marine Center) Kasitsna Bay (NOAA-UAF Kasitsna Bay Laboratory) and Juneau (Lena Point Fisheries Facility).
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be enrolled as a UA student in at least 6 credits with a minimum GPA of 2.0 or be a newly enrolled student.
Depending on the position you may need to perform moderately strenuous physical activity such as lifting boxes or participating in fieldwork.
Position Details:
Positions are located on the Troth Yeddha Campus (Fairbanks) and Lena Point Fisheries Facility (Juneau). Positions are part-time (additional hours may be available during the summer or semester breaks).New hires will be placed on the Undergraduate Student Pay Scalebased on education and experience.This recruitment is open to undergraduate students only.
