YOUR IMPACT
Were looking for an experienced coordinator and people leader to help plan coordinate and deliver NDSS-funded programs and engagement activities. This role provides day-to-day leadership to a small team delivering cultural diversity engagement health promotion and primary care engagement while also coordinating workload across programs and events and ensuring strong administrative support for delivery. Youll also oversee key subcontractor relationships to ensure quality reporting and contract requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a small team (regular 1:1s coaching early support for performance and wellbeing issues and formal review processes).
- Coordinate workload and resourcing for NDSS programs and events including planning for peak periods and managing competing priorities.
- Liaise with other program/service coordinators to align planning communications logistics and shared resources.
- Provide oversight of NDSS program administration and data quality (e.g. setup communications bookings reporting and record management).
- Coordinate admin team meetings ensuring clear actions follow-through and consistent ways of working.
- Provide hands-on program/event support as needed including stakeholder liaison troubleshooting and post-program feedback/evaluation follow-up.
- Manage subcontractor relationships and performance (scope schedules reporting compliance documentation invoicing) and escalate risks/issues appropriately.
ABOUT YOU
Youll ideally bring experience coordinating programs/events/service delivery operations (health community services or NFP is ideal) leading or supervising staff coordinating workloads across multiple activities/stakeholders improving systems/processes for efficiency and managing external providers/contractors. Experience working with diverse communities and applying cultural safety and access/equity principles is highly regarded.
- People leadership capability including coaching performance management and building a positive team culture.
- Strong planning and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and delivery timelines.
- Confident stakeholder engagement across internal teams external partners and subcontractors.
- Clear written and verbal communication including meeting facilitation and practical guidance for others.
- High attention to detail with strong administrative/process management and a continuous improvement mindset.
Essential: Relevant qualification in health public health community services administration project management or similar.
A Current Police Check Working with Children Check and a valid drivers licence (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable: Understanding of diabetes education/program delivery and/or the primary care/community health context.
