This is a targeted role under GSE Rule 26 and Aboriginal people are encouraged to apply.

We are seeking a Community Engagement Officerto work closely with Aboriginal communities across NSW helping shape programs and initiatives that support selfdetermination strengthen relationships and deliver meaningful outcomes.

In this role you will coordinate and deliver engagement strategies that ensure Aboriginal voices priorities and aspirations are at the heart of our work. Youll support senior staff to develop communication materials build strong relationships with communities and help guide the delivery of theAboriginal Land Rights and native title across NSW.

This is a chance to contribute to meaningful change and support the aspirations of Aboriginal communities across the state. Youll be part of a team committed to respectful engagement cultural integrity and strengthening outcomes for Aboriginal people.

About You

  • Strong understanding of Aboriginal cultures community dynamics and the diversity of Aboriginal experiences across NSW.
  • Ability to build trust and maintain respectful relationships with community members Elders and stakeholders.
  • Confidence in communicating with a wide range of audiences including preparing written materials and supporting communityfocused messaging.
  • Willingness to travel and work directly with communities.
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to supporting positive outcomes for Aboriginal people.
