At Synergie Australia were not just looking for someone to send invoices and chase payments. Were building a finance function that is commercial disciplined and outcome focused and we want an Accounts Receivable Officer who takes ownership drives results and understands the importance of cash flow.
Supporting a national recruitment and labour-hire business youll play a critical role in cash collection accurate invoicing and credit control helping fund weekly payroll and support ongoing growth.
What Youll Do
- Take ownership of Accounts Receivable including invoicing collections and cash allocation
- Generate accurate timely client invoices from payroll and timesheet data
- Manage debtor aging and drive collection of overdue accounts
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and client queries
- Monitor credit limits and escalate risks
- Perform daily bank & AR reconciliations resolving unapplied cash
- Partner with payroll and operations to minimise disputes and ensure billing accuracy
- Maintain strong client relationships while driving commercial outcomes
- Support reporting on DSO debtor performance and overdue balances
- Contribute to process improvements and automation across AR
Who Were Looking For
- 2 years experience in Accounts Receivable Credit Control or similar
- Comfortable in high-volume fast-paced environments (recruitment/labour hire highly regarded)
- Strong attention to detail and reconciliation skills
- Able to investigate and resolve discrepancies independently
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Experience with ERP systems (MYOB Advanced desirable)
- Intermediate Excel skills
