Systems Administrator to manage and optimize their physical and virtual infrastructure.
Responsibilities:Infrastructure Management: Monitor troubleshoot and repair server and networking hardware/software; manage ZFS storage and backups.
Networking: Design and implement networking solutions including VPNs VLANs and wireless access points.
Virtualization & Config: Deploy and maintain KVM virtual machines and LXC/LXD containers; utilize configuration management tools.
Cloud Administration: Manage Google Workspace (Users Groups Drive Sites).
Technical Support: Provide Tier 1 support for lecturers and staff regarding networking and server software.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of network architecture server configurations and software deployments.
Minimum Requirements:Linux Expertise: Strong proficiency in Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred).
Core Networking: Solid understanding of TCP/IP DHCP DNS and OpenVPN.
Certifications: CompTIA Network MikroTik training or equivalent professional experience.
Advanced Networking: Experience with Radius/Eduroam VXLAN and NFS.
Server Software: Familiarity with Apache LDAP Samba and CUPS.
DevOps/Scripting: Proficiency in Shell or Python scripting for automation.
Platform Experience: Prior administration of Google Workspace and ZFS storage.
